Picton Post Office.

Rogers Construction Group was engaged by Wollondilly Shire Council to undertake upgrades to the old Picton Post Office, an incredible heritage building that is being repurposed as a smart hub facility for small businesses, start-up businesses, community groups, and events. The project aimed to transform the building into a modern and functional space that would provide valuable resources for the local community.

The upgrades to the building were extensive and included a range of structural improvements, such as the installation of new flooring, ceilings, and walls. The building’s electrical and plumbing systems were also updated to ensure they were compliant with current regulations. One of the most significant upgrades to the building was the installation of an external passenger lift to provide compliant access for the local community. This lift was carefully designed to complement the heritage aesthetic of the building and was installed with the utmost care and attention to detail.

The modernisation of the building's infrastructure ensures it meets current standards and regulations, enhancing safety and usability for all users. The installation of the external passenger lift improves accessibility, making the facility more inclusive and welcoming to all members of the community. Overall, these upgrades contribute to the revitalisation of the area and support economic growth and community development in Picton.
