Redfern Post Office

Rogers Construction Group was engaged as the Principal Contractor for the prestigious restoration of Redfern Post Office, a State Heritage listed building. Throughout the extensive scope of work, specific sections of the building underwent careful demolition, allowing for significant enhancements and modernisations. A major achievement was the construction of a new building entrance and ground floor lift lobby, ensuring enhanced accessibility while preserving the building's architectural integrity. Upgrades to the external Right of Way were conducted meticulously, following the site's Remediation Action Plan to address hazards such as the make-safe procedure for an underground fuel tank and essential ground capping.

Our team expertly managed the construction of a new lift and lift tower, ensuring flawless integration with the building's external finishes. Level 1 saw the creation of a new Lift Landing and Hall, complete with modernised WC and Accessible WC facilities. Specialised attention was given to preserving the iconic Clock Tower and Community, embracing both heritage preservation and contemporary functionality.
